The beauty of God's peace in every area of our lives.
I see everything, and it’s the loving, generous heart that captures My favor. Vain arguments and petty fights are foolish intrusions in the life of a believer, who’s called to live in an attitude of calmness and harmony. Satisfaction at winning an argument won’t last long if it’s the start of a war. Lack of humility will keep you small and thwart the full expression of your spiritual gifts. Be expansive today and accept the imperfect, the not-so beautiful, the offensive, and the contrary. Accept and be at peace. Remember how I calmed the raging storm on the Sea of Galilee? Well, you can take that same authority and silence the rising emotional storm inside you. Tell yourself, “Peace, be still.”
Revelation 19:6 (NIV)
Then I heard what sounded like a great multitude, like the roar of rushing waters and like loud peals of thunder, shouting: “Hallelujah! For our Lord God Almighty reigns.”
Matthew 10:28 (NIV)
Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.
2 Corinthians 10:5 (NIV)
We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
1 Timothy 6:4 (NIV)
They are conceited and understand nothing. They have an unhealthy interest in controversies and quarrels about words that result in envy, strife, malicious talk, evil suspicions.
John 13:34-35 (NIV)
“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”
Mark 4:39 (NIV)
He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm.
