Mountains of Motherhood

Look to Him, the mover of mountains.

If you’re going to move the mountains that loom up on the highway of your life, and if you’re going to shove aside the detours that block your path, get ready. In order to move the mountain, you must first meet the challenge of the mountain because the foot of the mountain is barbed with lies and subtle temptations meant to discourage you from continuing your journey. You’ll meet the bad weather of false friendships; you’ll tread the briar patches of lack of money, and the rocky terrain of misplaced affections. Lost jobs, family hassles, and even poor health. Draw close to Me, breathe in the power of My name, and then with the undefeatable mountain-moving machinery of prayer, and with a simple whisper of faith, you’ll move the mountain. Phhhht! As easy as that.

Exodus 20:18-19 (NIV)

When the people saw the thunder and lightening and heard the trumpet and saw the mountain in smoke, they trembled with fear. They stated at a distance and said to Moses, “Speak to us yourself and we will listen. But do not have God speak to us or we will die.”

1 Peter 5:8 (NIV)

Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.

Mark 11:23 (NIV)

“Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them.”
